The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sakamoto tests Struker's chin there with a solid looking shot.

It looks like Tommy Struker has been cut.
Struker shoots in for a takedown but Sakamoto shows good takedown defense.
Struker shoots in looking for a takedown. Sakamoto tries to sprawl out of it but Struker keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Sakamoto manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
No joy there for Sakamoto, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Sakamoto throws a right and a left that Struker avoids nicely.
Struker tries for a takedown but Sakamoto circles away easily
and Sakamoto counters with a series of strikes. Struker will be more careful next time no doubt.
Paul Sakamoto has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tommy Struker.
Struker shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Sakamoto but Sakamoto pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Struker misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Paul Sakamoto seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Struker is rocked!
Struker closes the distance and clinches up with Sakamoto, looking for a takedown. Struker pushes Sakamoto against the cage but Sakamoto circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Sakamoto throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Sakamoto ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Struker looks gassed!
Struker fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Sakamoto bobbing and weaving well here. And he's unloaded with a massive right hand that drops Struker! He dives into his guard looking to finish!
Struker is still in real trouble! Can Sakamoto finish him?
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Sakamoto postures up from his opponent's guard, before exploding into some vicious ground and pound! Struker covers up, he's hurt! Sakamoto keeps throwing the strikes, glancing at the referee... Will he stop it?? One more big shot from Sakamoto and the ref steps in to end the fight! Sakamoto can't hide his delight as he celebrates with his corner.
