Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Albert Fish (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Larry Hayes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 32 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Albert Fish!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Larry Hayes!
The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Felipe Paraventi and Emerson Jorge.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fish looks to throw the jab but Hayes is out of range.
Fish just misses with a punch to the body.
Fish slaps away a takedown attempt from Hayes, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Hayes smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.


It looks like Albert Fish has been cut.
Albert Fish seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hayes wants to clinch up but Fish keeps it at a distance.
Hayes ducks under a wild hook from Fish.
Fish throws a nice looking combination but Hayes bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
No joy there for Hayes, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Hayes shoots in but no luck this time.
Hayes looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Fish is fending him off so far but Hayes persists. Nope, Fish circles away and we're back to standing.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Fish shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Fish tests Hayes's chin there with a solid looking shot.

Hayes changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Fish tries to avoid it but Hayes manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Fish to the ground. Fish escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

That was a close round but I would say that Albert Fish will probably get the nod.

It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Fish here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.
