Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Bredis Gretcott (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Boring Sausage (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Bredis Gretcott!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Boring Sausage!
The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Steve Erwin and Damien Edna.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gretcott stuffs the takedown.
Gretcott fails in his attempt to clinch.
Sausage tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Gretcott manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Gretcott tries to close the distance and clinch up but Sausage swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!

Nice takedown defense from Gretcott. No joy for Sausage on that attempt.
Sausage is looking to chop away at Gretcott's legs.

and Gretcott counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Bredis Gretcott has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Boring Sausage.

Sausage is controlling an arm, preventing Gretcott from taking his back. Although keeping him in mount is no better to be honest.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Sausage is trying to reverse the position but instead Gretcott has taken his back - oops!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Gretcott is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Sausage knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Sausage for a finish.

Sausage got a little sloppy there for a moment and Gretcott has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Sausage has managed to get both his arms back between Gretcott's legs - danger averted.

Gretcott is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Sausage defends well.

Sausage has gone for a leg lock! Gretcott slips out almost immediately though and dives into Sausage's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Sausage wants to sweep here but Gretcott controlling him for the moment.

Gretcott gets to his feet. Sausage looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Boring Sausage seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Gretcott is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Gretcott displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Sausage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Gretcott scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Gretcott lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Gretcott.

Bredis Gretcott has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Boring Sausage.

Gretcott feints and as Sausage raises his hands in defense, Gretcott changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Sausage tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Gretcott knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Sausage on the ground.
Sausage is breathing heavily.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Gretcott's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

Gretcott is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Sausage is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Sausage has escaped and now he's on top!
Sausage tries to free his leg and advance position but Gretcott is retaining full guard.
Sausage throws an elbow that misses. Gretcott uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Sausage's guard. Nice move by Gretcott!
Bredis Gretcott overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Sausage swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Gretcott is now in Sausage's guard. A big mistake from Sausage there, giving up the dominant position!

Sausage wants to stand but Gretcott is controlling the position.

Sausage closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Sausage goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Gretcott has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Sausage but great work by Gretcott.

Sausage tries to bench press Gretcott off him but Gretcott keeps the position.
Sausage is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Gretcott stands up and we're back to a striking position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Bredis Gretcott will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!


Sausage shoots in for a takedown but Gretcott shows good takedown defense.
Sausage takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Gretcott tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Sausage manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Gretcott swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Sausage.
Gretcott scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Sausage tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Gretcott paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Gretcott shoots in and gets a takedown into Sausage's guard.
Sausage is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Gretcott wants to control from the top but Sausage keeps moving.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Gretcott wants to stand but Sausage has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

Gretcott drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Sausage dives on top into guard.

Gretcott isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Sausage stacks Gretcott on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Sausage!

Sausage is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Gretcott looks calm but he's in trouble here. Sausage gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Gretcott is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Sausage lets go of the hold and Gretcott can pop his arm back in it's socket.
