Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sione Finau (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pikku Veli (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Finau's entrance music is Ninja Gaiden. A fine choice. The crowd seem to be enjoying Veli's choice of entrance music: Your Sweet Six Six Six. On his way into the cage it seems that Sione Finau has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Sione Finau seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Pikku Veli!
The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Josh West and Ryoma Takatsuka.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Veli throws a front kick aimed at Finau's knee but Finau avoids it well.
Nice defenses there by Veli.
Veli lands a really nice looking cross but Finau seems unphased.

It looks like Sione Finau has been cut.
Sione Finau seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A leg kick checked by Veli.
Finau ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Veli works Finau's body with a nice hook.

Good leg kick by Veli there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Finau throws a hook but Veli blocks it.
Finau uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Veli.
Veli lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Finau shoots in looking for a takedown. Veli tries to sprawl out of it but Finau keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Veli manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Finau lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.

It looks like Pikku Veli has been cut.

Veli darts in and clinches Finau up against the cage.
Finau lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Veli backwards.
Finau has Veli pushed against the cage.
Finau tries to break the clinch but Veli is controlling the position.
Finau tries to throw a body punch but Veli avoids it by throwing Finau back against the cage.

Veli breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Finau throws a sloppy head kick and Veli moves out of range easily.
Veli looks to land a right hand but Finau moved out of range.
Finau misses with a double jab
and Veli connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Veli uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Finau wants to clinch.
Veli is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.

Veli keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Finau lands a high kick to the side of Veli's head that stuns him and send him tumbling down to the canvas! Finau dives into guard, looking to finish.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Finau content to stall in guard here.
Finau lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Finau throws an elbow that misses. Veli uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Finau's guard. Nice move by Veli!
Finau is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Finau has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Pikku Veli was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Veli bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.

Finau looks to score with a jab to the body but Veli is just out of range.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

and Veli counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Veli avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Good work by Finau as he checks the leg kick.

Veli throws out a loose jab but Finau uses good head movement to avoid it.

Veli throws a right hand that Finau ducks under and follows up with a left that Finau also avoids with ease.

and Veli counters with a head kick. That will keep Finau thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!
Finau lands with a straight right. Veli didn't see that one coming.

That has opened up Pikku Veli's cut even more.
Sione Finau is winning the standup battle so far.
Veli is breathing heavily.
Veli throws a nice looking combination but Finau bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Veli has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.

Finau connects with a solid leg kick.
Finau thumps Veli with a low kick.
Finau lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Pikku Veli is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Veli takes a body punch but keeps moving.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Some bone on bone action there as Veli checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Finau scores with a crisp jab that stopped Veli in his tracks.
Finau fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Veli looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
A chopping leg kick lands by Finau.

Finau catches Veli napping and connects with a big right hand that sends Veli to the canvas!

Veli is rocked!

The cut above Pikku Veli's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Finau arches his back and unloads with a massive left and a right! Veli's eyes roll back into his head, he's out cold! The ref dives in to stop the fight - wow, they were hard shots!
