PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ry Back (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Adolf Zimmerman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Paul Aken and Nard Betker.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Back throws an overhand right that lands on Zimmerman's shoulder, as Zimmerman tries to avoid the shot.
Back shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Zimmerman shoots in but Back avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Zimmerman cracks Back with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Back misses with a wild body shot.
Ry Back seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Back throws out a loose jab but Zimmerman uses good head movement to avoid it.
Back checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Zimmerman avoids the body shot from Back.
Back lands a jab to Zimmerman's midsection.
Zimmerman uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Back.
Back throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Zimmerman tries to close the distance and clinch up but Back swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Zimmerman shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Back sprawls well. Back wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Zimmerman gets slowly back to his feet.
The fight stays on the outside here - Zimmerman looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Back throws a poor cross that misses

and Zimmerman holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Zimmerman blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Back is trying to break the clinch but Zimmerman has him pressed against the cage.

Zimmerman manages to break the clinch.
Back throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Back loses concentration momentarily and Zimmerman pounces with a three punch combo! Right, left, right! Back crashes face first to the mat, out cold! Zimmerman finishes this one with a fantastically precise combo! Great stuff.
