Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Richard Dawkins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shane Schofield (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Schofield has chosen Linkin Park : The Catalyst as his entrance music. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Schofield shoots for a takedown but Dawkins saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Schofield is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Dawkins is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Schofield is aware though and is defending well.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Dawkins has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Schofield can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Schofield is pushing down on Dawkins's leg trying to pass to half guard. Dawkins is fighting to maintain full guard but Schofield has managed to sneak the leg through.

Schofield looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Dawkins is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Dawkins is looking for a triangle here but Schofield uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.

Dawkins tests Schofield's chin there with a solid looking shot.
The fight stays on the outside here - Schofield looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Schofield shoots in looking for a takedown. Dawkins tries to sprawl out of it but Schofield keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Dawkins manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Schofield has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Dawkins finds it's way round the side to connect with Schofield's head.
Dawkins is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Schofield closes the distance and clinches up with Dawkins, looking for a takedown. Schofield pushes Dawkins against the cage but Dawkins circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Schofield takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

Dawkins tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Schofield is able to avoid easily.
Schofield moves forwards but Dawkins connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Schofield takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Dawkins punishes Schofield's body with a nice straight punch.

Dawkins stalks Schofield and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Schofield's face. Schofield staggers backwards, shaken.

Schofield is rocked!
Dawkins drops Schofield with a huge uppercut! Schofield drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes. Dawkins is raining down punches and the ref stops the fight! This one is all over!
