Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Charlie Parsons (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mirko Filipovic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Filipovic has chosen Wild Boys as his entrance music. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Parsons tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Filipovic thows a body kick. Parsons tries to catch it but that hurt him.
Filipovic scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Filipovic walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Parsons checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
An inside leg kick from Filipovic misses.
Parsons shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Filipovic as he jumps to the side.
Filipovic throws and low kick but Parsons moves out of range easily.

Parsons moves into range and clinches up with Filipovic.
Filipovic wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.

Filipovic breaks the clinch.
Parsons showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Filipovic.
Filipovic jabs Parsons right on the nose. Parsons blinks but takes it well.
Good work by Parsons as he checks the leg kick.
Filipovic throws the kick towards the body but Parsons avoids it.
Filipovic throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.
Parsons moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.

Parsons is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Filipovic is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Filipovic pushes Parsons away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Parsons gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.

Filipovic wants to sweep here but Parsons controlling him for the moment.

Mirko Filipovic seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Filipovic chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Parsons can pounce on him.

and Parsons holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.
Parsons prevents Filipovic from breaking the clinch.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Parsons is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Filipovic pulls him back up using the underhooks.
