The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hannay misses with an attempted mid kick.

Hannay shoots in and bounces Collins off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Collins is controlling Hannay's posture.

Hannay is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Hannay looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Collins with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Collins tries to get to full guard but Hannay has control of the leg.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Hannay winds up and cracks Collins with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Hannay is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Let's hope that Hannay has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Collins gets caught flat footed, as Hannay shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

and Hannay holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Collins is on the wrong end of a couple of strikes there.
Hannay wants to get back to his feet but Collins is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Hannay is looking to sinch up a triangle. Collins throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Hannay's body to avoid the submission. Hannay has instead reached around Collins's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Hannay arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
