The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
ramos shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Smasher as he jumps to the side.
Smasher looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? ramos is fending him off so far but Smasher persists. Nope, ramos circles away and we're back to standing.
Smasher misses with a takedown attempt
and ramos makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Smasher really felt that one!
Smasher takes a swing at ramos's ribcage but misses.
ramos tries a head kick but it misses.
A decent looking body kick lands there for ramos.

ramos shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

ramos decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Smasher, up you get!
Smasher looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Smasher tries to close the distance and clinch but ramos swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

ramos tries to keep at a distance but Smasher has taken the fight into the clinch.

Smasher is looking to control ramos's arms but ramos gets an underhook and turns him. Now Smasher has his back to the cage.
Smasher avoids the elbow strike from ramos, against the cage.

ramos breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

and ramos counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by ramos.

Smasher will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Smasher is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.

Smasher has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but ramos can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
