The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wolverine tries to bum rush The Prodigy with a series of wild strikes but The Prodigy uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Wolverine closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Wolverine escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Wolverine shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in The Prodigy's guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Wolverine would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
The Prodigy bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Wolverine's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The Prodigy is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Wolverine is just riding it out for now. The Prodigy eventually gives up the hold.

Wolverine is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

The Prodigy sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Wolverine's guard.
Wolverine really doesn't want to stay on the ground with The Prodigy. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The Prodigy is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Wolverine has managed to free his arm - good work.
The Prodigy wants to pass the guard but Wolverine is defending well.
The Prodigy works his foot free and advances to mount.

The Prodigy is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Wolverine is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Wolverine flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. The Prodigy anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Wolverine and secures both hooks! This could be bad! The Prodigy slips an arm under Wolverine chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. The Prodigy has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. The Prodigy is squeezing on Wolverine like an anaconda would it's prey. Wolverine fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!
