And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Daniel Franklin and Wesley Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zim leaves Ivanov with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Ivanov takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Zim pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Ivanov back to the cage. Zim follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Jim Zim seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Zim connects with a body shot.
Zim scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
Zim throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Ivanov moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Zim smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.

Zim lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Ivanov circles away quickly and effectively.
Zim looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Ivanov is fending him off so far but Zim persists. Nope, Ivanov circles away and we're back to standing.
Sergey Ivanov has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jim Zim.

The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
