Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Igor Prikhodko and Vladimir Khabensky.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barbio doesn't manage to clinch there - Kosarev circles away.
Barbio is looking to clinch but Kosarev is avoiding it.
Kosarev shoots in for a takedown but Barbio shows good takedown defense.
Barbio throws a nice looking combination but Kosarev bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Kosarev misses with a takedown
and Barbio connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Barbio is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Kosarev's half guard.
Kosarev is breathing heavily.
Barbio wants to pass the guard but Kosarev is defending well.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
The ref stands the fighters back up. William Barbio was stalling too much, according to the referee.

Barbio fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Kosarev to the ground. Barbio is now in Kosarev's guard.

Kosarev has a closed guard, preventing Barbio from standing up.
Barbio throws a strike but Kosarev rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Barbio pulls Kosarev in close to his closed guard and prevents Kosarev from doing any damage or advancing position.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

William Barbio has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Kosarev avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Kosarev misses with a takedown
and Barbio counters with a shoot takedown. Kosarev fights it but they end up in guard.

OK we're going to have a standup here. William Barbio hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Barbio is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
William Barbio dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Barbio misses with an attempted mid kick.
Barbio lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Barbio misses with a body kick.
Kosarev doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Barbio decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Kosarev's guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Kosarev keeping moving, preventing Barbio from controlling successfully.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Barbio sitting in guard, not really doing much.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by William Barbio.
Barbio feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Barbio wants to control from the top but Kosarev keeps moving.

Barbio drops Kosarev with a beautiful combination! Kosarev stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Barbio is looking for the KO!
Kosarev is rocked!
It looks like Ilia Kosarev has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Barbio dives in and gets a big takedown. He lands in full mount and immediately unloads a series of heavy strikes! Kosarev has had enough and taps out.
