Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Trenton Thrasher (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johnny Shaw (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Thrasher comes to the cage accompanied by soak up the son. Trenton Thrasher is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Johnny Shaw!
The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Josh West and Chris Saunders.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thrasher swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

and Shaw counters by moving into the clinch.
Thrasher is looking to break free of the clinch but Shaw has double underhooks.
Thrasher wants to break the clinch but can't.
Thrasher misses with some punches.
Shaw unloads a knee to the mid-section.
Thrasher tries to break the clinch but Shaw is controlling the position.
Thrasher has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Thrasher is looking to break free of the clinch but Shaw has double underhooks.
Shaw keeps control of Thrasher as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Shaw has Thrasher pressed against the cage, preventing Thrasher from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Shaw wants the takedown. Thrasher is fighting it off but Shaw persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Thrasher's guard against the cage.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Shaw wanted to stand there but Thrasher had control of the position.

Thrasher has his foot on Shaw's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Shaw works his way back into a safe position though.

Thrasher working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Shaw doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Shaw manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Thrasher has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Shaw can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Thrasher has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Shaw is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Thrasher.

Shaw has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

and Shaw holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
