Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Po Panda (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Col. John T. Hall (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). John T. Hall. Panda comes into the arena with Kung Fu Fighting by Carl Douglas blaring out of the sound system. This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Po Panda!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 21 - 12 - 0, fighting out of London, Col. John T. Hall!
The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, James Atkins and Steven Brown.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Panda changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Hall looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Hall manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Panda not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Hall punching from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hall regains full guard. Nicely done.
Panda throws a big elbow that misses.
Hall thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Hall is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Panda is aware though and is defending well.

Panda got a little sloppy there for a moment and Hall has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Panda has managed to get both his arms back between Hall's legs - danger averted.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Hall striking from the bottom.

Hall looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Hall has his foot on Panda's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Panda works his way back into a safe position though.

Hall has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Panda can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Panda trying to control the position from guard on top but Hall is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Hall is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Panda defends well.
Panda working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Hall's head.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Hall looking for a guillotine here but Panda defends easily.
Panda looking to pass the guard.
Panda is in close to Hall's body, working some short punches and elbows.

Hall had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Panda defends it easily.
Panda postures up and lands a big shot to Hall's brow.
Panda loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Panda cracks Hall with a solid left hand.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Hall is looking for a triangle but Panda pushes his legs off easily.
Hall keeping full guard, as Panda tries to pass.
Hall has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Panda throwing strikes but missing.
Panda pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Hall is keeping the position for now.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Hall working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Panda.
Panda is looking to work some ground and pound but Hall has wrist control.
Hall avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Hall throwing strikes off his back to little effect.
Panda with a flurry of punches that miss.
Panda is working Hall over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Panda passes into half guard.
Panda thows a huge punch but Hall dodges it nicely.

Hall is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Panda pulls his head out easily.

Hall has hold of a guillotine but he's not going to be able to crank on it really with only half guard, so it's no trouble for Panda. Oh but Hall has got full guard now! Oh boy! This one could be over very soon! Panda goes limp - he's gone! Hall jumps up and celebrates with the crowd - fantastic submission finish!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Col. John T. Hall!
Col. John T. Hall got down on his knees post fight and begged the management for a title shot. 'Please, I want that title shot so bad! Give it to me!'
