With the fighters clinched against the cage, Okano creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Penn changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Okano fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Penn closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Penn gets through Okano's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.

We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Penn is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Okano is looking to stand up but Penn won't let him.

Penn lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Okano!

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Okano is desperately trying to improve his position but Penn has a good base and remains in mount.

Penn is looking to work his way around to Okano's back. He needs to be careful though, as he's in danger of losing this dominant position.

Penn is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Okano can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Okano on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Okano tries to get out of the position.

It looks like Penn might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Penn is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Penn extends the arm and Okano is forced to tap!
