Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between William Joseph (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paul Bruens (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Joseph comes to the cage accompanied by TEARS FOR FEARS - SHOUT. Bruens has chosen River Below as his entrance music. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 17 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, William Joseph!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 23 - 15 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Paul Bruens!
The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Sam Margolis and James Ackerman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Joseph misses with a straight left.
Joseph takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Bruens closes this distance looking for a takedown but Joseph circles away.
Bruens uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Joseph.
Joseph thows a body shot but no joy.
William Joseph seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Joseph lands a right hook to the body.

Joseph tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Bruens was well out of range. Poor timing from Joseph.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Bruens enables Joseph to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Bruens manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Joseph doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
A chopping leg kick lands by Bruens.

and Bruens counters with a three punch combo that has Joseph backing up. Joseph nods at Bruens to acknowledge the strikes.

Joseph shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Bruens as he avoids it easily.

Bruens jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Joseph walks away with a smile on his face. Bruens gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Bruens tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Joseph was well out of range. Poor timing from Bruens.

Joseph manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Bruens on his heels. He'll look to pass Bruens's guard now, I'm sure.

Well Joseph has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
