Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jani Sormunen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Rickimardo Flairianio!
The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Anni Minnemäki and Ben Zyskovitsi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sormunen pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Flairianio looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Sormunen is fending him off so far but Flairianio persists. Nope, Sormunen circles away and we're back to standing.
Sormunen stuffs the takedown.
Flairianio closes the distance and clinches up with Sormunen, looking for a takedown. Flairianio pushes Sormunen against the cage but Sormunen circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Jani Sormunen has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rickimardo Flairianio.

and Flairianio counters with a shoot takedown. Sormunen fights it but they end up in guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Flairianio stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Sormunen swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Sormunen controls Flairianio momentarily but Flairianio frees himself.

Flairianio wants to work for an arm triangle but Sormunen is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Sormunen is trying to control but can't.
Sormunen might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Flairianio seems to be working for a kimura but Sormunen defends the submission attempt.

Sormunen misses with some strikes from the bottom.

Sormunen is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Sormunen is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Sormunen accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

That's time! Sormunen's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Flairianio is pushing down on Sormunen's leg trying to pass to half guard. Sormunen is fighting to maintain full guard but Flairianio has managed to sneak the leg through.

Well, with Flairianio on his back, surely it's only a matter of time before Sormunen is tapping out... Can he escape the position?

Flairianio escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Sormunen gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Flairianio moves into full guard.
Flairianio is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Sormunen rolls with it to try and escape but Flairianio cranks on the arm and Sormunen is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
