The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Doom is looking to clinch.
Nice sprawl there from Wayne as Doom shoots in.
Doom shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Wayne pinned against the cage. Wayne gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Doom has a takedown stuffed.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Thulsa Doom. That's going to take a lot out of him.
No joy there for Wayne, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Doom shoots in for a takedown but Wayne shows good takedown defense.

I'm just looking down at my notes here and I see that.... oh! Wayne has cracked Doom with a big right, followed by a left! He's out on his feet! Wayne lands another huge swinging hook and Doom tumbles to the canvas! The ref dives in to save Doom, before Wayne can land any more shots!

A less than humble John Wayne misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
