PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Steve Fox (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kitsune Tsuki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Fox might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Rammstein - Sonne (Clawfinger K.O. remix). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 5 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Steve Fox!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 12 - 1, fighting out of St Petersburg, Kitsune Tsuki!
The judges for this bout are Fedor Mirinova, Dmitry Maklakov and Igor Prikhodko.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tsuki shoots in for a takedown but Fox shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Fox circles away from the clinch attempt
and Fox counters with a nice uppercut.
Tsuki shoots in looking for a takedown but Fox manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Tsuki's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Fox scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Tsuki doesn't seem bothered though.
Tsuki fails with the takedown.
Steve Fox has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kitsune Tsuki.
Tsuki misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Tsuki shoots in looking for a takedown. Fox tries to sprawl out of it but Tsuki keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Fox manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
No joy there for Fox, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Tsuki is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Fox is defending well.

Tsuki is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Fox pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Fox struggles to land a body shot inside as Tsuki controls his hands.

Fox lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage.
Fox gets underhooks to prevent Tsuki's takedown attempt.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Tsuki shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Fox defends it nicely.
Tsuki throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Fox's waist but Fox gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Tsuki off to one side.
Tsuki wants to clinch
and Fox counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.

Fox jabs Tsuki to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Tsuki tries to close the distance and clinch up but Fox swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Tsuki shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Fox sprawls well. Fox wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Tsuki gets slowly back to his feet.

and Fox counters with a series of strikes. Tsuki will be more careful next time no doubt.

Fox lands a nice hook to Tsuki's body. Tsuki takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Fox scores with a one two! Tsuki had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.

and Fox counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Tsuki thinking.
Kitsune Tsuki seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Fox counters with a three punch combo that has Tsuki backing up. Tsuki nods at Fox to acknowledge the strikes.

Tsuki is working for takedown but Fox is calmly controlling the position for now.
Fox digs a right hand underneath Tsuki's ribcage. Tsuki let out a lung full of air as it connected.
Fox gets through Tsuki's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.

Tsuki jumps guard but Fox stands there with Tsuki around his waist. Tsuki gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Fox scores with a shoulder strike.
Fox is pressed up against the cage. Tsuki has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Fox down to the mat. Fox avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Fox throws a series of punches but Tsuki avoids them all with ease.

Tsuki shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
