The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The Pitbull lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
The Pitbull throws a poor cross that misses
and St Pierre counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by St Pierre.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
St Pierre wants to pass the guard but The Pitbull is keeping the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The Pitbull looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
St Pierre in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
The Pitbull wants to sweep but no luck.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
St Pierre stops The Pitbull from standing up.
St Pierre is in close to The Pitbull's body, working some short punches and elbows.
The Pitbull has his feet on St Pierre's thighs here. He's pushed St Pierre off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! St Pierre screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
