Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Pena Penanen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Derek Patterson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pena Penanen could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Derek Patterson's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Tarja Halkonen and Anni Minnemäki.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice uppercut there from Patterson.
Patterson has a takedown stuffed.
Penanen moves into the clinch.
Patterson is working for takedown but Penanen is calmly controlling the position for now.
Penanen stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.
Penanen lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Patterson.
Penanen breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Penanen feints and then cracks Patterson's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Patterson down.
Patterson moves away from the strike by Penanen.
Penanen looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Penanen misses with a kick to the body.
Penanen stuns Patterson with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Patterson tries to clinch up
and Penanen counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Patterson is not content to let Penanen control the position.
Penanen takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Patterson makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Patterson.
Patterson has a closed guard, preventing Penanen from standing up.
Patterson looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Patterson is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Penanen tries to stand but Patterson is controlling from the bottom.
Penanen wants to control from the top but Patterson keeps moving.
Penanen is looking to stand up but Patterson won't let him.
Patterson lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Penanen!
Patterson looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.

Penanen wants to hold on but Patterson pushes him away.
Penanen is in all sorts of trouble here.
Patterson throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Patterson wants to take Penanen's back but he can't do it this time.

Penanen is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Patterson trying to control but Penanen is having none of it.
Penanen is trying to stand up.
Penanen avoids a series of strikes thrown by Patterson.
Penanen is controlling an arm, preventing Patterson from taking his back. Although keeping him in mount is no better to be honest.
Penanen wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Patterson.
Penanen tries to hold on but Patterson pushes him away.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Pena Penanen dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Patterson throws a combination that misses
and Penanen counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Penanen.
Patterson tries to pull guard but Penanen holds him up against the cage and eventually Patterson drops back down to his feet.
Penanen gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Patterson regains guard.
Patterson looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Penanen has picked Patterson up and slammed him! Patterson can't keep hold of the triangle and Penanen manages to pass to side control!
Penanen decides to stand back up. Penanen steps back and let's Patterson get back to his feet.
Patterson misses with a takedown
and Penanen counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Patterson is trying to get back to full guard.
Patterson makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Patterson.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!
Patterson looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Patterson is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Patterson has his feet on Penanen's thighs here. He's pushed Penanen off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Penanen screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
