Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Gouki Sakuraba (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Glin Burman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Summer Carpenter and Winston Howard.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Burman tries to clinch there but Sakuraba circles away.
Burman misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Sakuraba.
Burman misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Burman shoots in looking for a takedown. Sakuraba tries to sprawl out of it but Burman keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Sakuraba manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Burman sizes up Sakuraba with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Burman wants to clinch.
Burman tries to clinch
and Sakuraba counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Sakuraba throws a leg kick but Burman moved away.
Nice takedown defense from Sakuraba. No joy for Burman on that attempt.
Burman tries to clinch but Sakuraba moves out of range.

Burman tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Sakuraba paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Sakuraba lands with a nice body punch.
Gouki Sakuraba is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Sakuraba throws a sloppy head kick and Burman moves out of range easily.
Sakuraba stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Burman tries to close the distance and clinch but Sakuraba swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Burman pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Burman throws a lazy head kick
and Sakuraba counters with a crisp one two that drops Burman! Sakuraba thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Burman to his feet! Burman is in big trouble!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Sakuraba circles away from the clinch attempt
and Sakuraba counters with a nice low kick that buckles Burman's knee momentarily.
Sakuraba lands a left and a right that send Burman crashing to the mat, dazed. Sakuraba thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Burman is rocked!
Sakuraba swinging wildly here.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Burman is looking to clinch.
Sakuraba throws a series of punches but Burman moves out of range.
Burman gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Burman has had enough of the clinch but Sakuraba keeps him there for the moment.
Sakuraba breaks from the clinch.

Sakuraba drops Burman with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Burman looks back up at him and smiles so Sakuraba waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Burman is still on wobbly legs! Can Sakuraba finish him?

Burman looks gassed!
Sakuraba catches Burman with a right, a left, a right. It's raining punches and Burman forgot an umbrella! Another punch and he's down. This one is over!
