Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Maddox Ward (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Max Terrell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Terrell is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Waking the Demon . Max Terrell has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Terrell gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Ward thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Terrell working for a triangle but Ward defends it easily.
Terrell looking to hit a scissor sweep but Ward is one step ahead there.

Terrell is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Ward trying to control but Terrell is working from the bottom.
Ward has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Ward thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Terrell had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Ward is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Terrell Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Ward's back instead.
Terrell looks gassed!
You can see the frustration on Ward's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
Terrell is trying to stick to Ward's back but Ward is turning into Terrell. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Terrell's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Ward.
Terrell wants to sweep but no luck.

Terrell looking for a guillotine here but Ward defends easily.

Ward is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Terrell has his foot on Ward's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Ward works his way back into a safe position though.

Terrell manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Terrell wants to finish this one by submission but Ward is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Terrell.
