Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Bartle Doo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Henry Downey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, George Francis and Daniel Franklin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Downey tries to clinch there but Doo circles away.
Doo checks a leg kick nicely.
Downey looks to throw the jab but Doo is out of range.
Downey misses with a series of wild punches.
Downey changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Doo tries to avoid it but Downey manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Doo to the ground. Doo escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Henry Downey seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Doo avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Downey fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Doo looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Doo shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Downey but Downey pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Downey throws a right hand that Doo ducks under and follows up with a left that Doo also avoids with ease.

Doo changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Downey looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Downey is pushing Doo's head away, looking to escape. Doo manages to hold on to the position though.
Downey tries to bench press Doo off him but Doo keeps the position.
Downey is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

Doo tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

Doo working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Doo tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Doo has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Doo is breathing heavily.
Downey wants to get back to his feet but Doo drags him back down.
Doo passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Downey!

Downey wants to try and get back to his feet.
Downey really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Doo. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Downey is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Doo is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
Downey is wriggling around trying to escape.

Doo is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Downey has managed to escape the submission attempt.

Doo is working close to his opponent, looking to work a submission by the looks of things. Oh, he's managed to get a guillotine from mount as his opponent reached up! That looks tiiiiight! Will he tap? YES, he's tapped! Impressive submission by Doo!
