The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Flintstone throws a lazy right hand but Sparman sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Flintstone throws a series of punches but Sparman moves out of range.

That kick from Flintstone tenderised Sparman's leg. Sparman is trying to keep his angry face on.

Flintstone shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Sparman defends it nicely.
Sparman throws a nice looking combination but Flintstone bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Sparman stuffs the takedown attempt from Flintstone. Flintstone gets slowly back to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Fred Flintstone. That's going to take a lot out of him.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Flintstone is looking to wear down Sparman with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

That was a close round but I would say that Fred Flintstone will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Flintstone changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Sparman tries to avoid it but Flintstone manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Sparman to the ground. Sparman escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Flintstone shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Sparman is trying to defend but Flintstone finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Sparman is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Flintstone here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.
Flintstone looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Sparman with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Sparman really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Flintstone. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
