The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Korpisuo looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Negreanu throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Korpisuo throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Negreanu counters with a straight right hand.

Korpisuo shoots and misses
and Negreanu counters with a solid body kick.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Korpisuo tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Korpisuo misses with a left hand
and Negreanu lands a stunning uppercut that sends Korpisuo to the mat!
Korpisuo is rocked!
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Negreanu working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Oh Korpisuo is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Negreanu perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Korpisuo is in trouble now - Negreanu has advanced to mount!
Negreanu loads up with a big shot that hurts Korpisuo! He's pulled Negreanu in close but Negreanu has postured up and lands more strikes. Can Korpisuo survive? More strikes from Negreanu and Korpisuo is out! The ref jumps in to save him! Brutal ground and pound!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:54 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Daniel Negreanu!
Daniel Negreanu tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
