Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Todd Parker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Takeshi Kitano (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Parker comes to the cage accompanied by Machine Gun - Commodores. Kitano has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. Takeshi Kitano told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Parker ducks under a wild hook from Kitano.
Kitano takes a swing at Parker's ribcage but misses.
Kitano misses with a looping left.

A decent looking cross lands there for Parker.
Parker cracks Kitano on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Kitano falls backwards against the cage. Parker follows up with more strikes that drop Kitano to his knees. Parker keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Kitano! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:16 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Todd Parker!
After the fight, Todd Parker was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
