Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Sean Cable!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Tug Speedman!
The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Paul Aken and Albert Achterberg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cable wants to clinch.
Cable tries to clinch but Speedman is having none of it.
A big right from Speedman misses.
Cable uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Speedman.
Speedman throws a jab when Cable was well out of range.
Speedman uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Cable has time to react.
Speedman misses the shot to the body.
Speedman throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Cable on the side of the head.
Speedman looks to land a combination but Cable avoids it well.
Speedman fails to land with a series of punches.
Speedman is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Cable.
Speedman throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Cable closes the distance and pushes Speedman back into the cage.

Cable tries to work over Speedman's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.

Cable trying to control the position but instead, Speedman has worked for underhooks and has pushed Cable into the cage.

Cable looking to score a takedown here. Speedman is defending well but Cable drives through and ends up in Speedman's guard.
Cable with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Speedman is looking to stand up but Cable isn't so interested in that idea.

Cable working over Speedman with some ground and pound. Speedman looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
Speedman is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Cable scores with a couple of nice shots.
Speedman really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Cable. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Cable prevents Speedman from improving his position.
Cable perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Speedman has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Cable is working away from the top position though.

That was a close round but I would say that Sean Cable will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Cable's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Speedman connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Cable scrambles back to his feet.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Cable closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Cable has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Speedman tries to roll over but Cable keeps him under control.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Speedman can do anything to dispel that myth.

Cable sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Speedman's guard.

Cable is working for a kimura from half guard. He's really concentrating on the hold and it's allowed Speedman to slip a leg under and get back to full guard.
Cable postures up in Speedman's guard and throws a big left but Speedman blocks it.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

A less than humble Sean Cable misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
