Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between George Raileanu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tom Turtle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). George Raileanu has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, George Raileanu!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Tom Turtle!
The judges for this bout are Micheangelo Fripello, Jeff Smith and Colin Fray.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Raileanu tries to clinch but Turtle moves out of range.
Raileanu looks to clinch

and Turtle counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Turtle is trying to control. Raileanu wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Raileanu looks like he's trying to stand up.
Turtle working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Turtle moves nicely into side control.
Turtle wants to lay and pray for a moment but Raileanu keeps working.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Raileanu pushes Turtle away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Turtle gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Raileanu tries to wriggle free to get back to his feet but he's given up his back! Oops.
Raileanu is trying to stand back up.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Raileanu is breathing heavily.
Turtle has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Raileanu's body.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Raileanu is looking to stand back up. He's having to work hard to escape but eventually he manages it.
Raileanu tries to clinch but fails miserably

and Turtle counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Raileanu's guard now.

Turtle passes Raileanu's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Turtle drops an elbow to the side of Raileanu's head.

Turtle is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Raileanu sees it coming and defends easily.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Turtle is figuring out what he wants to do next.
It looks like Turtle might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Turtle in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Raileanu tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Turtle!
