The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vondopolous tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Santiago paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Vondopolous has picked Santiago up - he's going for a ride! Vondopolous dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Vondopolous thows a huge punch but Santiago dodges it nicely.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

This has been an exciting period of action!
