Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Nik Enaed (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rocky Patterson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rocky Patterson acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Enaed ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Enaed lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Enaed pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Patterson back to the cage. Enaed follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Patterson looks for a takedown but Enaed sprawls well.
Enaed ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Patterson moves away.

Patterson tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Enaed comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Patterson on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Enaed. Enaed obviously looking to wear him down.
Enaed feints a jab promting Patterson to slip. Enaed then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Patterson slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Enaed lands a really nice looking cross but Patterson seems unphased.
No joy there for Enaed, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Patterson takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Enaed throws a right and a left that both miss.

Patterson is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Enaed tries to bum rush Patterson with a series of wild strikes but Patterson uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Enaed throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Enaed throws a low kick but Patterson moves out of range easily.
Patterson misses with a takedown attempt - Enaed sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Enaed connects with a crisp jab.
Enaed scores with a one two! Patterson had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.

Patterson closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Patterson lands in his opponent's guard.
Enaed is breathing heavily.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Patterson wants to control from the top but Enaed keeps moving.
Enaed preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.

Patterson drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Patterson jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Enaed wants to get back to his feet but Patterson is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Patterson connects with a couple of short punches.
Patterson has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Patterson thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Patterson working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Enaed's head.

Enaed scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Patterson shoots in looking for a takedown. Enaed tries to sprawl out of it but Patterson keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Enaed manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Nik Enaed has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rocky Patterson.

Patterson closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Enaed's guard.

Enaed pushes Patterson off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
Enaed uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Patterson moves in looking to clinch but Enaed pushes him off.
Enaed's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Enaed duly obliges.
Nik Enaed seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Patterson seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Enaed is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
