The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thorne lands with a thumping leg kick.

Potkukelkka steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Thorne. That one must have hurt.

Potkukelkka shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Thorne sprawls well. Thorne wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Potkukelkka gets slowly back to his feet.

Thorne tries to close the distance and clinch up against the ropes but Potkukelkka paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Potkukelkka is trying to maintain a safe position but Thorne gets an underhook and turns Potkukelkka into the ropes.
Potkukelkka tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.

Potkukelkka shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.

Thorne tries to close the distance and clinch but Potkukelkka swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Thorne scores with a leg kick.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Potkukelkka will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Potkukelkka misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Thorne is looking to clinch.
The fight stays on the outside here - Thorne looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Thorne throws a push kick but Potkukelkka slaps the foot to one side.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Potkukelkka avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Thorne is looking to slow Potkukelkka down with leg kicks.
Thorne motions for Potkukelkka to come forward. Thorne throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Potkukelkka circles away from the clinch attempt.

Thorne rushes Potkukelkka and presses him up against the ropes.
Thorne lands a nice knee to the body.
Thorne is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.

Potkukelkka ties up his opponent against the ropes and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Potkukelkka no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Potkukelkka manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Thorne has left one of his arms exposed and Potkukelkka doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Thorne screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.
