Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Guilherme Fonseca (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jon Joe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Guilherme Fonseca!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jon Joe!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Nard Betker and Paul Aken.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Joe shoots in looking for a takedown. Fonseca tries to sprawl out of it but Joe keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Fonseca manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Joe tries to sprawl but Fonseca drives through with a takedown into half guard.

Fonseca is looking to stall here but Joe recovers full guard.
Fonseca stops Joe from standing up.

Joe escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Fonseca gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Fonseca seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Joe slaps away a takedown attempt from Fonseca, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Guilherme Fonseca overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Fonseca seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Joe does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
