The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Araw tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Araw scores with a kick to the midsection.
Araw throws a leg kick but Tang sees it coming and moves out of range.
Araw moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Araw buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Tang fails with a takedown attempt.
Araw could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Araw slaps away a takedown attempt from Tang, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Tang misses with a takedown attempt - Araw sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Berting Araw has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jackie Tang.

Tang shoots in and drives through. Araw sprawls well.
Tang throws a leg kick but Araw sees it coming and checks it nicely.

Tang dives in and grabs Araw's left leg, looking for a takedown. Araw pushes down on Tang's head and hops out.

Araw lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.

Tang throws a chopping leg kick but Araw manages to avoid taking any serious damage.

Araw just misses with a punch to the body.

Araw plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
Tang steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Araw. That one must have hurt.
Araw cracks the inside of Tang's front leg.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Tang looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Araw lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
Araw avoids the body shot from Tang.
Araw throws a head kick that half lands.
Araw is breathing heavily.
Araw leaves Tang with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Araw stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Araw wants it to stay on the feet.

Araw pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Tang fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Araw to the ground. Tang is now in Araw's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Tang throws a big right hand that misses.
Tang throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Tang sitting in guard, not really doing much.
Tang slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Tang is working Araw over with some ground and pound from side control.
Tang remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Tang cracks Araw with an elbow. That is naaassty.

It looks like Berting Araw has been cut.
Tang scores with punches from side control.
Tang advances to mount.
BOOM! Tang connects with a massive shot to the dome!

Oooooh, big shot lands for Tang! Araw is hurt baaadly! Tang is firing away with more strikes - Araw is covering up... the ref is warning him to do something. He's just covering up though still and the ref has to step in to end the fight! This one is all over!
