PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Johnny Blaze (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Raul Chavez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chavez has chosen Tequilla Sunrise(Instrumental) as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Wesley Smith and Cecil Peabody.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chavez defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Blaze.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Blaze stands up out of Chavez's guard for a moment - Chavez manages to land a nice upkick.

Chavez really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Blaze. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Blaze thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Chavez will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Chavez is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Chavez drops an elbow to the side of Blaze's head.

Blaze really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Chavez cracks Blaze with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Chavez cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Chavez lands a big shot there that rocks Blaze but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
The referee warns Blaze that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

Blaze takes a big shot to the dome and his eyes have rolled back in his head! Chavez's killer instinct has kicked in as he finishes the fight with more strikes. Impressive finish.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Raul Chavez!
A relieved looking Raul Chavez thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
