Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Oswaldo Barra (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Apolo Creed (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Oswaldo Barra!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Apolo Creed!
The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Emerson Jorge and Edson Gomes.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Creed throws a hook but Barra avoids it easily.

Barra gets caught napping as Creed dives in and scores a takedown. Barra manages to retain guard.

Barra is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Creed is aware though and is defending well.

Barra working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Creed doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Creed manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Creed postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

Creed tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Creed has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Creed throws an elbow but Barra slips to the side and avoids it well.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Creed is looking for a kimura but Barra is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Creed to get the leverage.

Creed stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Barra swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Barra escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Creed gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

That was a close round but I would say that Oswaldo Barra will probably get the nod.

Creed has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Barra celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
