And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Vince Jackson!
The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Paul Aken and Radbod Blank.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Baron closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Baron lands in his opponent's guard.

Baron stands and steps away. Jackson gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Good standup being displayed there by Baron as he connects with a hook.
Jackson throws out a loose jab but Baron uses good head movement to avoid it.
Jackson throws a hook but Baron avoids it easily.
Jackson cracks a nice hook into Baron's ribs.

Baron gets a double leg takedown into Jackson's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Baron is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Baron tries to free his leg and advance position but Jackson is retaining full guard.

Jackson is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Baron is aware though and is defending well.
Baron passes Jackson's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

Baron is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Baron is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Jackson sees it coming and defends easily.
Jackson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Baron. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Baron is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Baron is working for a kimura but Jackson is defending it quite comfortably.
Baron looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Baron is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Jackson is just riding it out for now. Baron eventually gives up the hold.
