Doc has chosen Heat - The Jesus and Mary Chain as his entrance music. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Santos scores a takedown into full mount!
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Doc keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Doc is squirming around, avoiding Santos's attempts to control the action.
Doc is in a horrible position here. Santos smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

It looks like Oppolla Doc has been cut.
Doc is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Doc is working to get back to half guard.

Santos wants to finish this one by submission but Doc is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Santos.

That has opened up Oppolla Doc's cut even more.
Santos has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Oppolla Doc's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Oppolla Doc's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
