Metzger comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Nine Inch Nails - Hurt kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Javier Rodriguez has the better chin. The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Rodriguez tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Metzger paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Metzger fails to land with a series of punches.
This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Rodriguez. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.

Metzger cracks Rodriguez with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

Metzger lands a left and a right that send Rodriguez crashing to the mat, dazed. Metzger thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

It looks like Javier Rodriguez has been cut.

Oh Rodriguez is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Metzger throws a leg kick which misses Rodriguez's front leg but catches the back leg as Rodriguez tries to avoid it.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Metzger connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.

Rodriguez lands with a nice body kick.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Metzger lands a big uppercut and Rodriguez crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Rodriguez looks OK. Metzger waves Rodriguez back to his feet!
Javier Rodriguez is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Rodriguez gets clipped by a big right hand and goes down spinning to the canvas! Metzger gets the back mount and begins to drop bombs on his rocked foe! Rodriguez is too out of it to defend against the strikes and the referee jumps in to save him from the beatdown!

A very excited looking Randolph Metzger rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
