Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Tony DeMato (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Patrick Reid (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Tony DeMato!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Patrick Reid!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Steve Smith and Ian Loll.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Reid shoots in and bounces DeMato off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Reid trying to control but DeMato is working from the bottom.

Reid stands and steps away. DeMato gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
DeMato tries to clinch there but Reid circles away.
DeMato fails to land the takedown.
DeMato will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

and Reid decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in DeMato's guard.
Reid wants to stand but DeMato has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Reid drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but DeMato manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Reid has DeMato in his guard.

DeMato is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Reid looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Reid is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

DeMato stays in close to Reid's body and controls the position.

Reid has his foot on DeMato's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. DeMato works his way back into a safe position though.

Reid should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Reid jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but DeMato manages to avoid the submission attempt.

Reid wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by DeMato, who protects the arm well.
DeMato throws an elbow to the body but it doesn't land.
DeMato is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Reid off and has taken his back!
You can see the frustration on Reid's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
DeMato knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Reid on the ground.
DeMato is riding his opponent, not letting Reid buck him off.
DeMato seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Reid for as long as he can get away with.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Reid is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for DeMato!

Reid is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But DeMato has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from DeMato!

DeMato looking to sit in guard and control but Reid gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Reid tries to free his leg and advance position but DeMato is retaining full guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Reid gets to his feet. DeMato looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
DeMato misses with a head kick.
DeMato throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
DeMato stuffs the takedown attempt from Reid. Reid gets slowly back to his feet.
Reid misses with a takedown attempt - DeMato sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
DeMato shoots for a takedown but Reid saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
No luck for DeMato with that takedown attempt.
DeMato shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Reid pinned against the cage. Reid gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tony DeMato. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Reid looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? DeMato is fending him off so far but Reid persists. Nope, DeMato circles away and we're back to standing.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Reid.

Patrick Reid comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Reid winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
