Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ricky Winter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ian Capulet (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Ricky Winter has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ian Capulet!
The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Winston Howard and Steve Erwin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A cross from Winter lands.
Capulet shoots in for a takedown but Winter shows good takedown defense.
A punch combination from Winter misses.

Capulet looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Winter!
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Capulet is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Winter is surviving well by controlling Capulet's body position as best he can.

Capulet looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Capulet wants to finish this one by submission but Winter is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Capulet.

Capulet has hold of Winter's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Winter manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Capulet is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Winter to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Winter shrugs it off.

Capulet jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Winter manages to avoid the submission attempt.
Winter tries to bench press Capulet off him but Capulet keeps the position.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Capulet tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

Capulet has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Winter cracks Capulet with an open hand slap.
Capulet takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.

It looks like Ian Capulet has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Winter lands the left hand.
Capulet tries for a takedown but Winter sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Winter with a jab.
Winter comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Capulet looks gassed!
Capulet dodges the punch combination from Winter.
Winter pulls out of a head kick attempt.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A lazy left from Winter finds it's target.
Capulet moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.

Capulet is rocked!
Capulet takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Capulet is still on wobbly legs! Can Winter finish him?
Winter connects with a right hand. Capulet shakes it off.
Winter with a jab.
Winter feints with a jab and clips Capulet right behind the ear with a massive overhand right! Capulet is sent crashing into the canvas and Winter leaps in for the kill! Capulet tries to get to his feet but Winter is just battering him from every conceivable angle. The ref decides that Capulet is in need of a savior and steps in!
