The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sphinx shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Conner pinned against the cage. Conner gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Sphinx shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Conner but Conner pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Conner is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Sphinx fails with the takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Taylor Sphinx. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Conner throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Sphinx.
Conner closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Sphinx throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Conner's waist but Conner gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Sphinx off to one side.
Sphinx shoots in and drives through. Conner sprawls well.
Conner lands an overhand right.
Conner throws a series of punches but Sphinx moves out of range.

Sphinx changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Conner tries to avoid it but Sphinx manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Conner to the ground. Conner escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Sphinx is breathing heavily.
Nice sprawl there from Conner as Sphinx shoots in.

Oh Sphinx is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Sphinx shoots for a takedown but Conner saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Sphinx seems to have got his legs back now.
Conner closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Sphinx! Conner dives in looking to finish! Sphinx is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!
