The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Donatello Bradman and Bruno Hogan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A clash of legs there as Majuri blocks the low kick.
Gabonica fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Nice takedown defense from Gabonica. No joy for Majuri on that attempt.
Gabonica looks to land a right hand but Majuri moved out of range.
Gabonica throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Gabonica throws a leg kick
and Majuri counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Majuri throws the left hand but Gabonica avoids the punch easily.
Some bone on bone action there as Majuri checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Gabonica tries to clinch but Majuri moves out of range.
Gabonica throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Good work by Majuri as he checks the leg kick.
Gabonica takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Majuri misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Gabonica looks to land a left hand but Majuri moved out of range nicely.
Gabonica smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Gabonica shoots in and drives through. Majuri sprawls well.
Gabonica turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.

Gabonica shoots in looking for a takedown. Majuri tries to sprawl out of it but Gabonica keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Majuri manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Majuri is looking to clinch but Gabonica is avoiding it.
Gabonica walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

Majuri throws a punch but it's blocked by Gabonica.
Majuri lands an uppercut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Gabonica has hold of one of Majuri's legs. Majuri is fighting the takedown attempt but Gabonica gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.

The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Majuri looking for a sweep. Not yet Majuri, not yet.
Majuri is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Gabonica is controlling him.
Majuri pulls Gabonica in close to prevent any damage.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Majuri wants to stand and escape but Gabonica is having none of it.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Gabonica accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Gabonica is pushing down on Majuri's leg trying to pass to half guard. Majuri is fighting to maintain full guard but Gabonica has managed to sneak the leg through.

Gabonica is trying to control. Majuri wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Gabonica trying to mount his opponent but Majuri defends it.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Gabonica frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Gabonica postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Majuri looks a forlorn figure.
It looks like Sauna Majuri has been cut.
Gabonica in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
Gabonica has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Majuri's face.
Sauna Majuri's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
Gabonica lands a big shot there that rocks Majuri but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Jeez, Sauna Majuri's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Sauna Majuri's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Bitis Gabonica! Bitis Gabonica retains his super heavyweight title!
Our winner, Bitis Gabonica, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
