Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Freddy Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gray Potter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Potter has chosen Biggie Smalls - Victory as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Potter misses with a straight right.
Smith shoots in looking for a takedown but Potter manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Smith's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Smith will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Potter throws a combination. Smith tries to block but a couple of punches get through.

Smith moves in looking to clinch but Potter pushes him off.
Potter blocks a jab.

Smith closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Potter quickly recovers to half guard.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Smith thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Potter's head.
Smith seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Potter does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Smith looks to land a strike but Potter avoids it nicely and regains full guard.

Potter is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Smith is controlling him.

Potter is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Smith asserts his dominance and retains side control.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

Potter throws a nice looking combination but Smith bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

That's time! Smith's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

Potter rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Smith moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

and Potter counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Potter ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Smith moves away.
Potter lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Smith circles away quickly and effectively.
Smith changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Potter tries to avoid it but Smith manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Potter to the ground. Potter escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Potter throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.

Smith swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Potter counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.

Smith shoots in but Potter avoids the takedown attempt easily.

and Potter counters with a series of strikes. Smith will be more careful next time no doubt.

Smith avoids the body shot from Potter.
Potter throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Smith sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Gray Potter comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
