Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Sven Hjernson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tomohiko Tanaka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hjernson's entrance music is Poirot theme. A fine choice. Tomohiko Tanaka has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Roosa Järviläinen and Arvi Lind.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tanaka is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Tanaka instigates a clinch.
Tanaka keeps control of Hjernson as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Hjernson wants to get back to striking at distance but Tanaka won't allow it.
Tanaka tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Hjernson smiles and moves away.
Tanaka throws a leg kick that is checked
and Hjernson counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Tanaka is lucky that one didn't land flush.
Hjernson pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Hjernson pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Tanaka back to the cage. Hjernson follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Hjernson avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Tanaka misses with an uppercut.
Tanaka finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Hjernson misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
A combination from Hjernson does no damage.
Hjernson tries to bum rush Tanaka with a series of wild strikes but Tanaka uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Tanaka takes the fight into the clinch.
Both fighters working to control the clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Tanaka jumps guard but Hjernson stands there with Tanaka around his waist. Tanaka gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Hjernson's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Hjernson moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Hjernson throws a series of punches but Tanaka moves out of range.
Tanaka takes one on the button.
A combination from Hjernson does no damage.
Tanaka dodges the punch combination from Hjernson.
Hjernson throws a big shot that misses.
Hjernson throws a right and a left that Tanaka avoids nicely.
Tanaka tries to clinch up but Hjernson circles away and keeps his distance.
Hjernson tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Tanaka fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Hjernson, pushing him back against the cage.
Hjernson breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Tanaka is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Hjernson throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Tanaka counters by clinching up.
Tanaka jumps guard but Hjernson stands there with Tanaka around his waist. Tanaka gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Sven Hjernson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tomohiko Tanaka.
Tanaka tries to pull guard but Hjernson won't allow it.
Tanaka pulls Hjernson into guard.
Tanaka wants to sweep here but Hjernson controlling him for the moment.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Tanaka holds on and takes a little breather.
Tanaka is looking to sinch up a triangle. Hjernson throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Tanaka's body to avoid the submission. Tanaka has instead reached around Hjernson's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Tanaka arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:52 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Tomohiko Tanaka!
