PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ultimate Warrior (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gabriel Lewis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Warrior comes to the cage accompanied by Ultimate Warrior Entrance. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ultimate Warrior!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Gabriel Lewis!
The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, Alyssa Summers and Reed Andrews.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Warrior tries to clinch up.
A punch lands to the side of Warrior 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Lewis throws a nice inside leg kick.
Lewis works the jab nicely.
Lewis throws an overhand right that lands on Warrior's shoulder, as Warrior tries to avoid the shot.

Warrior closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Lewis's guard.
Warrior engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Ultimate Warrior has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Lewis connects with the punch.
Warrior tries for a takedown but Lewis sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Danga de danga de dang - Lewis scores with a four punch combination!
Lewis looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Lewis lands an overhand right.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Lewis cracks the inside of Warrior's front leg.
Lewis works Warrior's body with a nice hook.

Warrior shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Lewis's guard.
Warrior is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

We're going to have a standup here because Ultimate Warrior wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.

Warrior closes the distance and pushes Lewis back into the cage.
Warrior wants to take the fight to the mat but Lewis manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Warrior blocks an uppercut.
Warrior tries to pull guard but Lewis holds him up against the cage and eventually Warrior drops back down to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ultimate Warrior. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Warrior tries to break the clinch but Lewis is controlling the position.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Warrior.
Lewis scores with a shoulder strike.
Lewis managing to block the knees to the body from Warrior.
Lewis tries to break the clinch but Warrior is controlling the position.
Lewis tries to throw a body punch but Warrior avoids it by throwing Lewis back against the cage.
Lewis lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.


It looks like Ultimate Warrior has been cut.

Warrior drags the fight down to the ground.
Lewis must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Warrior is pulling down on Lewis's head to control his posture.
Lewis trying to control the position from guard on top but Warrior is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Gabriel Lewis has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Lewis throws a nice inside leg kick.
Warrior tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.

Warrior feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Warrior thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Warrior drops back looking for a leg! Lewis is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Lewis manages to kick Warrior off! Warrior jumps back into Lewis's guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Warrior stands up over Lewis, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Lewis can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Warrior controls the pace.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Gabriel Lewis will probably get the nod.
The cut man is working on Ultimate Warrior's cut.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


Warrior takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Lewis feints and then cracks Warrior's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Warrior down.
Warrior is looking to clinch but Lewis is avoiding it.
Lewis connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Lewis throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Warrior on the side of the head.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Lewis moves into range and connects with a jab.
Lewis connects with a single shot there.
Lewis throws a good cross that connects.
Warrior dives in and grabs Lewis's left leg, looking for a takedown. Lewis pushes down on Warrior's head and hops out.
Gabriel Lewis seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Warrior throws a head kick that misses.
Warrior takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Warrior fails in his attempt to clinch.
Warrior ducks right into an uppercut from Lewis.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Lewis clobbers Warrior with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

Lewis cracks Warrior with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Lewis has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Warrior to stand back up!


Warrior is rocked!
Gabriel Lewis seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Lewis lands a nice looking body kick.
Oh Warrior is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Lewis with a body punch. A glancing blow.
Warrior seems to have got his legs back now.
Lewis throws a pinpoint strike between Warrior's hands that connects right on the jaw and sends Warrior crashing to the floor! He's out before he even hits the mat and Lewis scores a great knockout victory!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:24 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Gabriel Lewis!
