The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Edwards avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Alves here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.

Alves sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Edwards throws a leg kick which misses Alves's front leg but catches the back leg as Alves tries to avoid it.

Alves tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Edwards manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Edwards plants his feet and throws a 3 punch combo. Miss, miss, boom! The third punch, a big right hook, connects right on the temple and drops Alves to the mat, unconscious! This fight is all over! Alves just couldn't keep out of the way of the whole flurry of punches!

Mark Edwards decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
