Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Randy Blanket (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Josh Howell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Howell has chosen American Badass as his entrance music. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Randy Blanket!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Josh Howell!
The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, John Mangel and Bruno Hogan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Howell jabs at Blanket's body.
Howell lands a nice hook to Blanket's body. Blanket takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Howell fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Blanket manages to avoid it.
Howell throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
A jab lands there for Howell.
Howell's jab looks to have found its range, popping Blanket under the eye.
Howell ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Blanket tries to move into range but Howell moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Howell throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Howell connects with a nice looking jab.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Blanket shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Howell defends it nicely.

Howell connects with a good right hand that stumbles Blanket. Blanket circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

Howell throws a combination. Blanket tries to block but a couple of punches get through.

Blanket drives through with a takedown into guard.
Howell keeping moving, preventing Blanket from controlling successfully.
Blanket might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Blanket throws an elbow that misses. Howell uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Blanket's guard. Nice move by Howell!

This has been an exciting period of action!

Blanket had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Howell defends it easily.

Howell makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Howell throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Blanket works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Howell might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Blanket kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Josh Howell has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.

Blanket looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Howell!
Howell has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Howell has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.

Howell thows a body shot but no joy.
Howell throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Blanket stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Howell lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Blanket takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Howell fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Blanket.

Howell lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.

Howell jabs Blanket right on the nose. Blanket blinks but takes it well.
Josh Howell seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Howell fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Blanket on the side of the head.
Blanket is sent reeling backwards by a solid uppercut. He barely regains his balance and Howell moves in for the kill throwing a continuous barrage of punches that force the ref to step in.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:46 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Josh Howell!
