Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Chuck Wallace (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frank Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Frank Smith was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith is looking to clinch.
Wallace fails with the takedown.
Wallace fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Wallace shoots in for a double leg but Smith sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Chuck Wallace. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Smith darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Wallace is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Smith's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Smith's back!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Wallace biding his time, looking for the opening.
Smith breaks Wallace's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.

Wallace has had enough of the clinch but Smith keeps him there for the moment.

Smith breaks the clinch.

Smith escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

and Smith counters with a takedown into side control.

Smith wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Wallace, who protects the arm well.
Wallace misses with a strike from the bottom.

Wallace is trying to control Smith's posture but Smith avoids it.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Wallace shoots and misses

and Smith decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Wallace's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Wallace is breathing heavily.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Smith trying to control but Wallace is working from the bottom.
Smith wanted to stand there but Wallace had control of the position.
Smith really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Wallace. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Smith drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Wallace manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Smith has Wallace in his guard.

Wallace wants to control from the top but Smith keeps moving.
Wallace passes into half guard.

Smith manages to escape and get back to his feet!

Wallace decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Wallace passes the guard and advances to mount!

Wallace has hold of an arm here, looking to extend it. He's committed to the armbar attempt here! Will he get it?! Yes! Smith is forced to tap!
