Radzimanowski comes to the cage accompanied by Ennio Morricone - Ecstasy of Gold . John Radzimanowski has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 20 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jim Johnsson!
The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Matheus Silva and Seu Braga.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

A momentary lapse in concentration from Johnsson enables Radzimanowski to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Johnsson manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Radzimanowski is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Johnsson is trying to control the position but Radzimanowski postures up.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

and Radzimanowski counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Radzimanowski.
Radzimanowski is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Radzimanowski is looking to advance position but Johnsson won't allow it.
Johnsson has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Radzimanowski is working away from the top position though.

Radzimanowski stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Johnsson swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Johnsson closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Johnsson wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Radzimanowski, who protects the arm well.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Johnsson has an Americana. Radzimanowski didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Johnsson is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Johnsson hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
